Here is a bit from the article:
BigChurch offers dating services, Bible search and commentary in four different languages, and boasts half a million Christian members worldwide, though a job posting on the site, the high-salaried requirements for which presume a certain comfort level with adult content, boasts 8 million active members. A footnote at the bottom disclaims any expectations of real-time numeric accuracy, though.
I personally do not think dating services are that great an idea… though I know a few that use Eharmony… but still have not found that “right” one. But this was sort of strange as I understand you can do Bible searches and other “Christian” services… ( had to add “Christian” in there as some might have their minds still in the gutter.)
Now some might think people like me who are “emergent/emerging” would be excited at how relevant this is… but really this is what happens when Christians are not relevant and promote Jesus as a business. The world does not take us serious. But they do see us a marketable.
